Students at GAIS develop the core skills needed in using technology as an educational tool.
In recognizing the importance of technology, and the need for students to develop a good understanding of technology and the use of the computer as an educational tool, GAIS has developed a good campus-wide IT infrastructure. In addition to a fully equipped and modern computer lab, each classroom has a computer corner and the library has additional work stations for student use. The school-wide IT goals are:
- To provide the students with the skills needed to use computers as a tool for learning, research and communication.
- To provide students with modern facilities which fulfill our objectives.
- To develop students' self confidence to tackle the familiar and unfamiliar.
- To encourage students' autonomy in choosing applications to fulfill specific tasks.
- To instill the ability to analyze information from different media and present it in effective ways.
- To educate students about the social and moral implications of computers including the dangers associated with the Internet and data protection.
