Unlike public schools, which receive tax revenue, independent schools such as The German American International School rely on philanthropic support to meet the school's annual operating expenses and to make improvements to program and facilities.
Vital to the day-to-day operations of the school, Annual-Fund dollars also help The German American International School attract and retain excellent teachers, make this fabulous education available to more students, enhance programs and technology, and improve facilities (e.g. our new science Lab last year). This year we are planning to purchase a new sunshade structure for the preschool and one new portable classroom for the school.
