All parents, relatives and friends are cordially invited to our Annual Holiday Festival on December 5, 2009 from 2 – 5 pm.This is an annual event at GAIS and includes a variety of activities as well as a chance for our community to get together and celebrate the many cultural manifestations associated with the winter season.
We will have a German Christmas market set up in our gym with lots of exciting items for the holidays (handmade soaps, toys, art, cards, glass ware, jewelry and more). The children will have fun making ornaments and little presents in two classrooms set up as crafts workshops. German Food and baked goods as well as hot cider will be for sale and performances by the GAIS students will get you into the holiday spirit. Nikolaus will come for a visit as well.
We thank Esther’s Bakery and Bionade for their support of this activity. Here is some helpful information for parents about the event.
The performance starts at 2:00 pm.Please be on time as the students, who are the performers, need to be seated by this time.
Extra parking will be on the school playground.Since we expect a huge crowd, we recommend that you build in enough time for parking.
Preschool students must be picked up after their performance. We will open the Preschool playground and the bazaar where they can also find St. Nikolas.
Arts and Crafts rooms will open at 3:00 pm.Materials are supplied by the school but donations are welcome for the supplies.
