Science Lab Inauguration

One of the highlights of the Middle School information evening this week was the inauguration of the new Science lab. Renewing the lab was one of the various projects focused on enhancing the Middle School program at GAIS.

The project was lead by our Director of Academic Programs, Dominic Liechti, who not only updated the furniture and infrastructure, but invested substantially in the purchase on new equipment and materials to support the revised science curriculum in Grades 6-8. Our thanks go out to Dominic for his focused attention to this project during the summer months. The progress is clearly highlighted in a series of framed photos found inside of the door to the lab. Thanks also to Tim Farris who put together the many cabinets purchased from IKEA and to the company Roche for contributing to the supply of science materials in the lab.

The inauguration ceremony was kicked off with a cutting of the ribbon by our Middle School class reps Gisela Pyka, Uschi Joshua and Kimberly Schuster.
