English Elementary Assistant/Support Teacher - Part Time
Duties
The English language assistant/support teacher will work with the Elementary English faculty teaching the language components of Reading, Language Arts, Spelling and Writing. The school offers a bilingual academic program with German being the main language of instruction and English being taught as a parallel language. Each class received 6 lessons of English per week. The school follows the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (PYP) and teachers with a background and/or an understanding of this program are preferred. The English assistant/support teacher will help the teacher with differentiated instructional activities and/or will work with students needing extra language support
In addition to classroom instruction, teachers are expected to participate in supervision duties, staff meetings, parent meetings, workshops and various activities that promote the school's programs and reputation.
Requirements Teachers must have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education, or equivalent teaching qualifications from their country of origin, and at least two years experience teaching in an Elementary School level classroom setting. Training or experience with ESL/EFL programs is an asset. Our school is looking for committed, motivated and enthusiastic teachers with excellent organizational and team-work skills, dynamism and energy, as well as the ability to see children as individuals.
Contract Information
The contract is for one year and is renewable on a yearly basis by mutual agreement. The salary rage for full time teachers is from $35,000 to 55,000 depending on qualifications and experience. This will be a part-time position (approx. 40%)

After-School Teacher – Elementary School Level
Duties Provide after school care for students in the Elementary School level.Plan and guide activities for groups of up to 14 students and be responsible for their general welfare. The program runs from 2:00 – 6:00 pm during each day of school and from 8:30 am. – 6:00 pm. during the fall, winter and spring school breaks. We will consider candidates for both full and partial week positions.
Requirements
In addition to being fluent in English and German, the ideal candidate will have qualifications and/or experience in working with children at this age level.
